He really did a job on the lot of them, I though for a while Eastwood had lost his mind, dementia. Then I realized he was talking to the chair, so that was ok then.

Is it only allowable in six States for 2 corporations, both owned by same sex owners to merge? Does a corporation (vital for faith based voters) have a soul? Can a Corp go to Heaven, or Hell? If you cut it, does it bleed? Does it have reproductive rights. After 18 years of existence, is it required to register for Selective Service? While in development, if the business plan does not seem viable, is not continuing tantamount to abortion of this corporate zygote? Maybe sometimes you can have it both ways, but you can NEVER have it all ways forever. To quote the Late Jim Morrisson, “They’ve got the guns, but we got the numbers”. Never forget that fact, our pens and voices are still in charge of this land, but we must claim and assert our rights as guaranteed, or we do not have them. I can guarantee that 99% of corporations know their rights, claim them, assert them, and overstep them with impunity. We never want to overstep, but we damn well be ready and able to claim, assert and DEMAND our rights, in the most peaceful, legal ways.

For all of my Dear UK Friends (I consider all of you to be friends, unless proven otherwise:)…If there is a show, or parts of shows, or whole shows, unavailable in the UK, inform me, and if at all possible, I am glad to track down links for you. I am disabled, and have much time on my hands. This allows me to do a lot of research for friends, and learn while I do. If I’m not doing that, I am watching Documentaries, Comedies, Art History and Astrophysics Lectures. Also educational, but done selfishly. I have gained so much from many hours of informative broadcasting from the UK, whether it be the childhood warmth of Oliver Postgate’s Bagpuss, The Polymath fount of wisdom, intellect and wry, wit..Stephen Fry, and everything he has ever done. Hell, Mock the Week (DAMMIT BRING BACK FRANKIE!!!) is more politically stimulating than most shows here, aside from Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Bill Maher.

I Love UK Telly, to the exclusion of over 95% of US TV, and sincerely doubt I’d own all the Python Boxed sets, as well as Fawlty Towers, The Young Ones and Dr. Who, if it weren’t for my love of Sarcasm, Irony, Dry-Intelligent Wit, Subtle jokes, and other sensibilities that I think are even more British, but harder to explain to someone than Irony. I love a lot of US Humor, but the UK Humour just has something that tickles me more than any other.

Please allow me, of you will to clear up two things regarding the US and humour. We indeed have a great number among us that enjoy nothing but the basest of all humour, and would not understand subtlety were it a mallet, flying at their face. Their does remain, however, a quote substantial population that does not fall into this convenient bin. Perhaps not by capita, but definitely in terms of pure numbers, there are more University Graduates in the US than the UK (not a jab at the UK, it just numbers). Given that a good number of those Grads likely did not come away from college with any further grasp of subtlety, I’ve factored that in.

Having laid a foundation as to why it may seem that we may be a bit dim, lacking the understanding of irony and sarcasm, I now want to explore the remainder of our populous. First, painting any culture with one, broad brush is a mug’s game to begin with. Even in the most Rural US setting, you will likely find some truly brilliant folks, along with average Joes and sadly, window-lickers. I thoroughly enjoy British Humour, e.g., The Pythons, Not the 9 o’clock News, The Young Ones, Fawlty Towers, Telly Heaven/TV Hell, Comics Choice, Dr Who, and by all means, the greatest mixture of Wit, Education, Intelligence, Wisdom, and outright silliness, QI is non-pareil. I don’t want to get into a wordy discourse on my thoughts and definition of irony on here. Anyone wishing to discuss…and truly, I am a polite chap, and more than happy to converse with anyone, as long as it isn’t someone bent on personal attack, or mere contradiction. I’d actually love it, since being bedbound leaves much time to correspond, just too few correspondents to keep things fresh in the ol bean.

As far as sarcasm goes, I wont attempt to define it, because, as it is now known, I am a US Citizen, and just intellectually incapable of such simple wordplay, which is possibly ironic, considering English is the only subject we study every semester of every year of our education.

I have a Dear Friend from Bucks, who recently moved to Amsterdam. We sat in Café and had a wonderful, wide ranging chat, and of course, took the piss out of each other. He made the comment that we refer to ourselves as Americans, when not only is there a North and South America, our continent, North America is obviously more than just the States. Well more than fair enough, and spot-on. It is a little hard to say “I’m a United Statesian”, and it does run into other linguistic difficulties, but I am willing to live with that to be fair and correct. —Here comes the disconnect. Since that chat in ’09, I’ve not noticed one BBC, Dave, Channel 4, Sky, or any of the other channels programming referring to us as anything but “the Americans”.

I’m not picky about nationalistic shit, as Roseanne Barr says, “When are we going to concern ourselves with Freedom, instead of symbols of Freedom”? It matters little to me whether I’m called American, US Citizen, Statesian, et al. What matters is how we treat each other, and when I know, or am made aware of something amiss in my parlance, I will alter it, as to not be an Ugly Citizen of the World.

Only in the U.S can the sick and poor be conned into voting republican ! To the rest of the world it just makes absolutely no sense. Those ” commies ” are making the U.S look like halfwits, long live the American dream ( for a very select few) Aus P.M looks like being booted out for trying to do something about climate change and not being tough enough on ” boat people” refugees ,so we’re not much better off . However I respect special needs and human rights in general… Personal attack and contradiction out of the way. I like the fact you spend your time broadening your mind. Do you have a blog I could access? Based on your taste in British comedy and the fact you didn’t mention the office which whilst being incredibly main stream is layered subtle and complete genius I presume your a bit older than I am. For the record I’m 29 and Australian. Anyway all the best. And as I said if you have a blog or an outlet for your ideas I’d like to read it.
