BBC is soon to start broadcasting a new political comedy series starring the two pranksters from Don’t Panic magazine: Heydon Prowse and Jolyon Rubinstein.

Titled ‘The Revolution Will be Televised’, it will air on BBC3.

Second one is superb. Some of the first is funny (Pippa Middleton social climbing step ladder excellent) but also comes across as ill-disguised sniping rather than clever mockery: it’s not likely to make anybody laugh apart from republicans. Reminds me of a Bremner Bird & Fortune skit years ago about the Iraq war, which was less amusing than it could have been because the actors were trying to ram their political viewpoint too heavily into it.

judging by the lack of comments – I guess folks were not impressed,

But maybe TV comedy works better after a solid 10 or 20 mins of it – rather than just coming cold to it.

For me – a short sketch that cracked me up when I first saw it on YouTube : ‘The Trip’ sketch where Coogan and Bryden outdo each other doing Michael Caine impressions
