Lord Ahmed no longer suspended from Labour

In April this year Lord Nazir Ahmed was suspended from the Labour party after allegations he offered a $10m bounty on the heads of George Bush and President Obama.
The story originated in the Pakistani press and quickly became the subject of controversy here.
But that suspension has now been lifted. A spokesperson sent Liberal Conspiracy a statement saying Lord Ahmed is no longer suspended from the Labour Party.
At the time, Lord Ahmed told the Press Association:
They have suspended me? That’s a surprise to me. I did not know. I did not offer a bounty. I said that there have been war crimes committed in Iraq and Afghanistan and those people who have got strong allegations against them – George W Bush and Tony Blair have been involved in illegal wars and should be brought to justice. I do not think there’s anything wrong with that… If the Labour Party want to suspend me I will deal with the Labour Party. They will have to give me some evidence.
Clearly no evidence was offered to support the claim in Pakistani newspapers.

“Clearly no evidence was offered to support the claim in Pakistani newspapers”
Not that “clearly” – perhaps you could publish the full statement a spokesman gave you, which presumably gives the Party’s reasons in its own words?
@Mark
I saw this story last week somewhere and I think the full Labour party statement is “Lord Ahmed is no longer suspended from the Labour Party”
Brief, to the point and clearly hiding something.
That is literally the full statement they sent me – “Lord Ahmed is no longer suspended from the Labour Party.”
Sunny
then why didn’t you point out that rather interesting and relevant fact in your Post?
PS – talking of Muslims, on your thread about terrorism at the Leyton mosque, you promised lots more to come.
But you have been strangely silent since then.
Can you now let us know whether there will be any more on the mosque, or not?
