Greens unveil punchy local elections video

The Green Party of London yesterday evening unveiled their own election broadcast for the London Mayoral local election.
The stylish black and white film was directed by Rebecca Frayn (screenwriter for The Lady, Luc Besson’s biopic of Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi) and produced by Christina Robert, founder of Bright Green Pictures.

Comically, I don’t think they say the word “London” once. And it drones on about issues which the mayor has no remit or power to address.
Mostly far-left waffle with hardly any “green” in it at all. They have been so effectively “entered”.
But, at least the video reflects the mental age of the average Green voter.

Seems pretty green to me and it is constructing a vision that is highly attractive.
They will be getting my vote for sure
I’m not sure how popular they will be as they are well known for wanting to slap huge taxes on things such as 4x4s and cheap flights. People just won’t vote for a party that will make them pay more for things.
The kids were very good, and its a good idea to think about how adult decisions taken now will affect the lives of children in the decades to come. But it raises some interesting if minor ethical dilemmas: how were they recruited and paid?
