Brilliant. It would not be the Holiday Season without a War on Christmas to get keep the permanently angry even more angry. Don’t the pagan and heathen liberals realise Santa’s son Jesus was born under the very first Christmas tree?

@ 1

That he was! And watched over by reindeer, no less.

(The vid doesn’t seem to be working for me, btw. Little help?)

Chaise,

It’s blocked from UK eyes (just to stop us getting a taste for real political satire over here again, perhaps).

If you use Firefox, install the “Modify Headers” extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/modify-headers/) and add the following: Action: Add, Name: X-Forwarded-For, Value: 12.13.14.15.

At least, that works for me.

Sigh…

One of these days I’ll get the right markup for hyperlinks on this site…

A lot of The Daily Show’s clips are posted on it’s Facebook page, which you can watch in the UK. Indeed, the war on Christmas one is :D

Actually, sorry it’s the following day’s clip that is posted, which refers to the Christmas one. Still funny though!!

(And as a Christian I’d like to apologise for the presumptive judgementalism of Bill O’Reilly!)

7. Voice of the people

When he attacks Eid I’ll show more interest in this ‘U support ranting deluded Muslim singer who wished an author was burnt alive’ supposed liberal poster boy.

@7 Not sure whether you’ve watched The Daily Show but it is satire. I assume’s he’s referencing Rick Perry’s advert which claimed Obama was making a war on religion because kids weren’t celebrating Christmas or something. So Stewart was then jokingly ‘declaring war on Christmas’.

Whilst, yes, if he was being serious there would be more furore from banning Eid than Christmas, I don’t think you need to worry about Stewart campaigning for an end the pseudo-consumerist/pagan festival that this winter period seems to be. Certainly ain’t much Christ in what we call ‘Christmas’ anyway.
