Private Eye pokes fun at Toby Young over Starkey

Remember Telegraph blogger / author Toby Young’s pitiful attempts at defending David Starkey’s comments on Newsnight after the riots?

If you don’t, then count yourself lucky – I don’t want to inflict torture by pointing it out to you.

This week’s Private eye has this wonderful cartoon poking fun at Toby Young over his blog post.

The ‘Caution:’ bit in particular is a delight.

Surely this could be turned into a regular series?

I must say, this post seems somewhat… pointless. Is it really such a slow news day that you’re reduced to C&P-ing Private Eye articles?

@2..yeah perhaps, but still…any excuse to have a laugh at Toby Youngs expense is always welcome.

Toby Young has demonstrated a great interest in giving the younger generation a leg up in life. His commitment in this area, and his full size ego reminds me of Andrew Neil.

Perhaps Sunny you have some pictures that might illustrate Andrew Neil’s work in helping someone of a younger generation?

Toby Young is a constant reminder of how Britain really works. He’s quite incredibly stupid. Yet he gets book deals. He gets commissioned to write articles. He gets asked to give his opinion on television programmes.

His only real claim to fame is having written a book that shows how stupid he is. But he’s posh. So he gets to be a public figure. Welcome to Britain.
