Surprised? Fox News dismisses phone-hacking

This, from Fox News last night this morning comes as no surprise.

To their credit, the Sky News coverage has been completely different in tone and depth.

Fox and Friends is the FNC breakfast offering, and Steve Doocy (the one asking the suitably loaded questions) is one of the three regular hosts. I did look at this morning misinformation machine back when Warren Buffett had made favourable noises about health care reform:

and the way he was misrepresented was pretty bad, but all done with a straight face.

John Ruddy: they’re also, and much more insidiously, creating the impression for the average Fox viewer that the NotW was a victim of a hack, not a perpetrator thereof. Every single other entity and instance mentioned in the entire slot is a victim of cyber espionage or vandalism. The NotW was a perpetrator.

That was truly professional work by the Fox team, there. Very clever, in a purely craft-skills-of-propaganda sense.
