How disabled people can virtually join the march tomorrow
contribution by Tim Hardy
“Disabled people are going to march to tell the government we demand ‘Rights not Charity’ and to show we are not easy victims of their cuts even though they may think we are,” Eleanor Lisney of Disabled People Against Cuts says.
While the TUC have been working hard to make access easier but for those who cannot physically make the day. But we have an alternative to that too.
For those unable to go to London for March 26th Disabled People Against Cuts and Beyond Clicktivism have created virtual protest map for those unable to attend in person.
Click on a few of the pins in place to get a sense of what people are saying around the UK.
If you wish to participate, please send a short message to dpac26march@gmail.com with:
- the name you would like shown
- the first half of your postcode (so we can put your pin in the nearest town to where you live)
- an optional small photo that you would like included
(All messages are processed by hand to prevent abuse. This takes a little while so please be patient if it takes a little while to show)

Remember what David Cameron promised the Sick, Disabled, Old, Frail, Vulnerable and ” POOREST ” in Society, well listen to his own words and draw your own conclusions:
I will not be joining the march tomorrow, virtually or otherwise. I’ve been immensely disappointed in what the wider anti-cuts movement has done for disabled people so far.
Let me remind you all of what Blair and Brown stated.
Work shy scroungers hard working people and tax payers, Brown stated DLA was a wasted benefit.
before throwing stones at the Tories remember 90% of the changes to welfare was down to Blair.
