Labour unveils post-budget attack leaflet
Labour has unveiled its post-budget leaflet today, attacking the Conservatives over their policies.
The leaflet is titled: “It’s hurting, but it’s not working”.

.

Key Conservative policies were attacked by even neutral charities such as Shelter:
Today’s announcement will help less than one per cent of people struggling to get on the housing ladder, leaving them more likely to win the lottery than be helped through this small-scale scheme.
A short analysis by the think-tank IFS said the budget “was not a big fiscal event”, adding that fiscal forecasts had changed… “and for the worse”.

Labour have lots of members who are screaming at them to become an anti-cuts party. The leadership isn’t listening.
Lame Labour have no answers, just Tory-lite.
It is noticeable that the most truthful item on this propaganda is:
“We need a plan…”
Labour certainly needs one. They have somehow secured a consistent advantage in the polls without having said anything at all of any substance, which doesn’t bode well for our collective political future.
“Today’s announcement will help less than one per cent of people struggling to get on the housing ladder, leaving them more likely to win the lottery than be helped through this small-scale scheme.”
That’s nonsense. Far, far less than 1% of people win the lottery.
@3 – “That’s nonsense. Far, far less than 1% of people win the lottery.”
Actually, I imagine it’s accurate. Of course, the vast majority only win a tenner or some other pitiful sum – but it is propaganda, after all.
Why should Labour have a detailed plan about what cuts they would make and give the media and the Gvnt room to focus away from their own misery? Why commit so early into a new parliament with plans that should be fluid. We all know the dangers of promising something in opposition only to change ones mind when elected, eh LibDems you know what I mean!!
“Why should Labour have a detailed plan about what cuts they would make and give the media and the Gvnt room to focus away from their own misery?”
Not as detailed as the government’s plans, obviously; as it is, though, they’re just accepting the need for cuts whilst opposing every actual cut made and failing to offer any alternatives, making themselves look rather cynical and opportunistic.
