It didn’t take much being lied at about ‘the poorest and most vulnerable’ for me to have enough of this. This is nothing but special pleading from a section of society who’ve been feather bedded to a ridiculous degree while contributing little. Go quietly and just be grateful you’ve managed to squeeze so much out of the rest of us.

Ah, yes, that £120 billion figure. Conjoured up out of thin air by one Richard Murphy.

Even he says that the maximum that could be collected of that is £20 billion…..

Oh, and the cost of the bankers’ bailout was/is not £850 billion. Currently £7 billion and falling, might even make a profit on it.

Oh, and tax not collected isn’t “money lost to hte British economy”. It’s just money that doesn’t go through the government coffers as it circulates through the British economy.

Finally, that fat chap talking about Phillip Green comes perilously close to libel I would say.
