Get ‘Liar Liar’ viral to Xmas no.1; out today!

Liberal Conspiracy was the first to publish Captain Ska’s Liar Liar video in October this year.

It’s now gotten over 100,000 views on YouTube, and there’s a campaign to get the song as the Christmas no. 1. It is released today on iTunes.

The viral hit will go head-to-head against the X-factor winner for the number one slot.

All proceeds from the sale of “Liar Liar” will go to charities helping victims of the cuts. Assuming a 79p sale price,
Crisis (23p each time), Disability Alliance (23p), our campaign site False Economy (16.5p) and Women’s Health Matters (16.5p) will benefit.

A launch event for the single and the web-site “Captain SKA v the cuts” will take place tomorrow – Monday Dec 13th at London’s Vibe Bar.

Captain SKA and his crew will play a full set and will be joined by the foot stomping Hackney Colliery Band and DJ Jamie Renton (Chilli-Fried) Tickets are available from here.

I hate the X factor and consider it to be killing tv, I am also going to university next year and naturally I’m not too happy about the cuts but I’ll be in massive debt anyway and the country is in some deep shit so the tax axe has to fall somewhere and I’m not arrogant enough to say it shouldn’t land on my head but others will be affected by this and my conscience can’t cope with that, especially when Trident is the reason the liberals couldn’t keep their promises. Perhaps I’m muddying the issue a little but if this song can kill Cowell and his cronies and get politics to the top of the charts then that’s enough reason to buy it regardless of any political incentives.

FWIW, I don’t like the sentiments of the first verse. There are good politicians out there, and I feel uncomfortable with the skepticism that people have. I don’t dislike politicians as an entire group, just a select few with whom I violently disagree.

I totally agree. The “all politicians are bastards” thing is just a narrow-minded cliche disguised as cynicism.

Viral? Don’t make me laugh. I’ve never heard of this before and it hasn’t gotten 200,000 views in nearly 2 months. Also it’s a terrible song, that’s the bluntest statement of the most unimaginative and un-thought-out political view I’ve heard in a long time.
P.S. @Rick Worth Yes, “gotten” is a word. Look it up.
