I love the way he looks back to see what he has slipped on. Perhaps the droppings of an urban fox? Or even Liam Fox?
Why is this news?
Go report something even remotely important.
Slow news day? Honestly, can’t we keep our mockery powder dry for something actually worth shooting at?
Sky News are talentless scum, so I expect this standard of reporting from them. Liberal Conspiracy however should be above mocking the enemy for falling over in the street. This is a forum for serious stuff, not “World’s Funniest Home Videos”.
I’d like to know how they knew where to point the camera.
Sky news slippery fox turd trap tonight on Sky One!
Liberal Conspiracy: Now with added Benny Hill theme tune.
Are you telling me you people did not chuckle? Humourless lefties…. grrr…
Gove’s striking resemblance to 1950′s ventriloquist’s puppet Archie Andrews is of more concern. I know politics is showbusiness for ugly people but the current front bench look like a warning against centuries of inbreeding or refugees from Innsmouth
I suppose this confirms that I’m a slimy toad….
I did giggle.
Interested (like, actually) in the negative reaction to this.
A brief, silly blog post doesn’t remove something more worthwhile. It’s free, quick to produce, space isn’t limited. It takes 18 seconds (at the most, if you didn’t like it you probably stopped watching before it finished) of your life to watch – probably rather less than it took to post a comment. It isn’t typical of LC posts, anyway, and it’s called “Watch: Michael Gove slips!”; not as if you weren’t warned.
So why post your comments, Gaf the horse, twoseventwo, and Sean Anderson?
Laughing at the powerful is a great British tradition, whether they slip up literally or metaphorically. The coalition is short of laughs so we need more of this sort of thing.
What a plonker.
@Daniel Rivas:
The reason I felt moved to comment was because I thought it was a lazy and pointless joke, “look, there’s a top Tory, and he’s fallen over”, hilarious …. not.
I assumed from the title “Michael Gove Slips” it might be a slip-up, like when Adam Boulton went postal on Alistair Campbell, or that Tory idiot slagging off the appointment of someone as an advisor, and then doing an rapid about turn when he is told it’s actually an appointment by the Tories, not Labour. These are very funny, and pertinent in a blog like this. It allows these people to hang themselves, show them as the morons and hypocrites they are.
Michael Gove is a vile individual, and I am very worried by the right wing education agenda that the Tories are pushing, (I’m a school governor so I have an interest here, and I’m a LD member, so I’m pissed off that we’re letting him get away with it). I want to see him belittled and ripped apart for his ludicrous policies, not for falling over in the street. Surely we’re better than that.
@14 Hear, hear.
