sorry but I’ve had to change the date to 26th June as the 12th clashes with other events.

Hope this is still ok.

It’s just logistics really – I live in London and I can organise a venue here on favourable terms, and the largest percentage of readers/contributors come from the capital. I don’t want to make it harder for northerners, or those who live in Portmouth, Bath etc. Hopefully future events will be more distributed.

Apologies to ‘out-of-towners’ is typical of most organisations. Interesting events that are planned do not really consider ‘northerners’. Do you know how much travelling to the capital and staying over costs?; a second mortgage.

Such action empowers the close at hand and relatively wealthy whilst at the same time disempowers the average or low paid ‘out-of-towner’. Why not try spreading the POWER more evenly.

THis sounds interesting – but wouldn’t it make more sense before the likely date of the next election?!
