Save the date: 12th June
This is more a note than a full explanation as yet (as I’m currently travelling around S E Asia). I’ve booked the 12th of June as the second Liberal Conspiracy ‘Blog Nation’ event date.
Held in central London (sorry out-of-towners, hence the advance notice) – this event will be a forum of sorts for lefties to discuss, strategise and debate how we can build and push the Left. By that time we may have a Tory government, and so the event will be even more important.
We have space for about 100-120 people. The event will be free to attend but invite only (due to limited space) and focus on lefties who want to build a new left movement. I haven’t sent out any invites yet or even made any concrete plans other than confirm a venue for that date. Hence, this note. More details when I get back at the end of March.

THis sounds interesting – but wouldn’t it make more sense before the likely date of the next election?!
Ha, all those promises at the start of the month about not blogging or checking e-mail while on holiday – LIES!
And we haven’t even had a postcard…
Sounds great, do keep us posted as would like to take part or observe.
I’ll come, I’ve just got to get hold of one of those V for Vendetta masks…
LO it’ll do you no good old boy hehe
Can I come?
Sounds promising – would like to come, if there’s room.
Yes, I would be up for it
Apologies to ‘out-of-towners’ is typical of most organisations. Interesting events that are planned do not really consider ‘northerners’. Do you know how much travelling to the capital and staying over costs?; a second mortgage.
Such action empowers the close at hand and relatively wealthy whilst at the same time disempowers the average or low paid ‘out-of-towner’. Why not try spreading the POWER more evenly.
Hi all,
sorry but I’ve had to change the date to 26th June as the 12th clashes with other events.
Hope this is still ok.
Hi Ann,
It’s just logistics really – I live in London and I can organise a venue here on favourable terms, and the largest percentage of readers/contributors come from the capital. I don’t want to make it harder for northerners, or those who live in Portmouth, Bath etc. Hopefully future events will be more distributed.
