Sunny: going away for a month

Hello all!
I’m heading to South East Asia tonight, with a plan to backpack around Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Burma.

No blogging or checking email for me in the meantime.

Don Paskini will be looking after LC while I’m away, please don’t harass him too much. Other bloggers will also try and help him (I hope!)

I’ll be back at the end of March.

Bon voyage!

Take care and have a wonderful time!

How envious am I! Not even a snap election would get you to cancel then? :) Have a great time, and make sure you write about it!

Have fun, don’t eat the burgers :)

Have fun, Sunny!

As if you’re going to manage to stay off the blogs.

They have internet Cafes there, you know?

And are you sure you want to go to Burma!?

Have a good time!

Sunny: Take care – and don’t go swimming anywhere near where Aung San Suu Kyi lives.

WHEN THE CATS AWAY

Mwahahahaha! I’ll be in charge of LibCon by the time you come back… Then it will be really left wing and partisan a… oh… never mind.

Have fun!

“WHEN THE CATS AWAY”

The mice will learn to use apostrophes?

(Grammar Fascists Unite)

It’s a bit of irony?

And American sentence inflection?

That sounds like a big itinerary for a month.
Angkor Wat is one place that shouldn’t be rushed.

Have fun!

You’re going to do all that in a month? That’s quite ambitious.

Make sure you go to Vang Vieng in Laos.

India and Los Angeles 2008, south-east asia this year. But when will Sunny be back to advise us on our carbon footprints? You can see why I, and other moderate livers, resent being lectured to by these faux-greens. In two years he will have flown more miles than I have in my 63 years. A hypocrite of the first order.

bollocks you won’t check your emails, I tried that once, lost my mind and grew a funky beard

A month’s barely enough for one of those countries, let alone all five. You’ll really regret it if you try. And skip Vang Viang – it’s shit.

Liberal activist in shady visit to fascist dictatorship!!1!!1

Have a great holiday Sunny.

I agree about Vang Vieng. It really is (like I read somewhere) full of indulgent western backpackers laying around on couches at ”TV bars” watching old episodes of Friends, after having spent a day whitewater rafting down the river.
