You clearly are unfamiliar with Murray’s work or are maliciously misrepresenting him on purpose. Either way, it is pretty disapointing. Murray has simply observed that intelligence is predictive of a number of socio-economic outcomes. That is well established. I’d recommend the research by Professor Ian Deary or Linda Gottfredson for recent papers on this in the context of health in particular.

The point is that lots of people don’t want Liddle as the Indie ed. If Sunny put up the £500 himself then it would be a personal vendetta as rumpypumpy keeps trying to make out, rather than a mass or liberal-minded folks who don’t want a racist misogynist twunt as editor of what once was a decent paper.

Unfortunately I will not be donating. You use “climate change denier” as a reason for him not being an editor. The word “denier” in this sense is widely used to mean “somebody who questions the scientific authority” when historically the scientific authorities have often been wrong and stubborn.

I don’t know whether I agree with climate change believers or sceptics – they both submit compelling arguments and I have time for neither of them.
