Rod Liddle writes racist msgs on footy website
The Daily Mail reports tonight:
Former Today programme editor Rod Liddle has been accused of racism after writing a series of inflammatory messages on a football supporters’ website.
…
The first message was written in October, when he contributed to a debate about whether the BNP should admit non-white members.
He wrote: ‘There’s thousands of organisations catering exclusively to black and asian minorities. **** ‘em, close them down. Why do blacks need a forum of their own? As a power base and cash cow for ****s and in order to perpetuate the myth of widespread discrimination.’
…
When first contacted by The Mail on Sunday, Mr Liddle denied writing the BNP message, adding: ‘I often get opposition fans logging in under my name to try to embarrass me. I wouldn’t go near the racist ones.’
However, he later admitted writing the post. ‘Yes I did write that, but be fair,’ he said. ‘The language is not something I would put in The Sunday Times or The Spectator. You could do me for that I suppose.’
More on this developing story later…

Sorry but could someone please point out to me where the racism lies?
There are thousands of organisations in Britain devoted to BMEs. They do provide a very nice living to a certain class of professional politician who have an interest in perpetuating their gravy train. As you would expect. As is also true in the White community but for different causes. How is pointing this out racist?
Or is the term being used here in the more PC sense of someone saying something some Leftist Empire-builder does not like?
The racism lies in saying:
‘On average a little under 10 per cent thicker than whites; 15 per cent thicker than east Asians. I thought everyone knew, too. Some argument about cultural bias of tests, but same results come up in US.’
Liddle hilariously claims a “hacker” somehow broke into his account and wrote this…
@4
“**** ‘em, close them down.” This might be the racist bit.
Or “Why do blacks need a forum of their own?” this raises some freedom of speech issues.
Maybe its a “cash cow for ****s and in order to perpetuate the myth of widespread discrimination.’” I reckon he makes his point finally though, there never has, never is or never will be any discrimination. And I don’t want to hear about it anyway, even if it is going on.
In fact, when I take over the thinking at the Race-dependent, you will only hear about the maiming of white men. Ever.
5. Davey – “The racism lies in saying”
OK. I had not read the original Daily Mail article. Only the bit quoted here. Can we all agree that if he had said that African-Americans (and I believe British people of Afro-Caribbean origins) tested 10 points lower than Whites on IQ tests, on average, that would have been a statement of fact? As it would have been if he said that people of East Asian origin test (more than, I think) 5 points higher than Whites? Is it racist merely to point out these facts?
6. George Allwell – “This might be the racist bit.”
Why? I don’t think that a Police organisation set up to advance the cause of BME police officers is one little bit better than one set up to advance the cause of White police officers. Why is it racist to suggest racially-based organisations ought to be de-funded?
“Or “Why do blacks need a forum of their own?” this raises some freedom of speech issues.”
If he was saying they should not have a forum of their own. But why should the British tax payer pay for a specifically racially-based forum? He is merely questioning the need. What is wrong with that?
“In fact, when I take over the thinking at the Race-dependent, you will only hear about the maiming of white men. Ever.”
Liddle is a tosser who bends with the wind, but during his time at the Beeb, the BBC was the exact opposite. It was always going on about how awful White middle class males were. Who knows what he would do to the Indie. Except suck up to Russian oligarchs.
These guys (on the website concerned) seem not to be taking it too seriously.

In the damon@9 “is monkeymfc Rod Liddle” discussion one Millwall fan says “In all honesty he does write bollox on here most of the time so whoever it is is most definately a journo”
http://www.millwall.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=39722&start=1
The lack of respect for Liddle among his peers could be a significant blow to Simon Kelner and Alexander Lebedev.
I have seen a secret internal strategy analysis which reveals that one reason for low sales the Indy is significantly underperforming among the key Millwall supporting demographic. What seems to have been missed in the discussion to date is that this was one of the primary factors for Liddle being a candidate for editor, as he was seen as very much the man to turn this around. But even that might now be in doubt!
Har har, nice to see Liddle being defended on here, by a bunch of racists!
Does Rod Liddle have any children?
If so, could someone please come up with some evidence that he abuses them please. Shouldn’t be hard to fake.
We have to stop him becoming Prime Minister or we’re doomed.
Sunny (or mod), please please please do something about the anonymous prick who’s decided to troll every thread under a variety of aliases. Kthxbai.

No of course it should not be.
Average intelligence was measured at 105 in North East Asia, 100 in UK and US and 70 in sub Saharan Africa. You might. of course, argue that it is a strange fact to be alluding to on a football website.
A bit like like cracking a joke about rape in a council chamber……
Is Rod the ram really a racist, or someone pushing the envelope in response to overuse of the word?

Jesus, Sunny, can you delete the racist fucking trolls defending Rod Liddle here?
Have deleted – it was mostly just one racist troll who posts under different names
Is this the same Mr Rod Liddle who wrote several articles accusing Newcastle United supporters of “mass-delusion”?
Oops! Who’s deluded now, Rod?
Never liked him – and if I ever bought the Independent, I certainly never would do if he were editor. Instead, if he gets the job, I pledge never again to browse the front page in airport branches of WH Smith’s and to turn off any TV programme in which Simon Calder – The Man Who Pays His Way appears.
strange to see the Daily Mail rooting out and exposing examples of racism* … I wonder what motivated them (it’s not like they make a habit of it)
* ok the comments in the OP might not be strictly racist, but they are outstandingly stupid and at best he does seem to be consistently hostile and obtuse when it comes to ethnic minorities
@15 – assume it’s because Liddle may be able to pull the Indy back from the brink of almost inevitable decline so Dacre will probably want to assist in any disingenuous way possible. It’s not really an argument as to whether he’s racist or not but simply business as usual.
I’d be amazed if the Mail sees itself as competing for readers or advertisers with the Indy … they’ve probably got it in for him for some other reason. Maybe just being ex BBC is enough.
Is Rod the ram really a racist,
Of course not, nobody is a racist anymore, 60000000+ people, not a racist between us, wonderful.
I’d be amazed if the Mail sees itself as competing for readers or advertisers with the Indy
They were definitely in a turf war with the fash during the European election.
I see that Liddle is a communicant of the Church of England and is at pains to sneer at atheists.
Does Jaysus approve this sort of action, then? Did he pray earnestly before writing? I think we should be told.
@19 Old Holborn: ““They peed on me!!!” charged one activist. “They grabbed me, said I looked like I was French, started calling me ‘La Trene’, and duct taped me to a tree so they could pee on me all day!””
I don’t see any liberal content or argument in that post. The subsequent link was about idealistic fools confronting bikers. I am unilluminated.
[11] in answer to my own question it looks like the answer is a resounding yes.
Monkeymfc – what on earth was going through Liddle’s head?
Davey @ 2
I wouldn’t normally expect to be jumping up to defend Rod Liddle, but it is significant that the one message you identify as being racist is one Liddle denies ever writing and claims the site owner has traced to a different IP address. (It’s all in the Mail article).
