Has @NadineDorriesMP blocked you on Twitter?
I have a confession to make: Nadine Dorries MP has blocked me on Twitter.
I don’t know when exactly it happened, but it could have been when I mentioned the fact that she was now employing her second daughter at the office.
It turns out I’m not the only one. Ellie Gerard tweeted this earlier today:
am feeling slight relief now that @nadinedorriesmp has blocked me, she’s even blocked Torie. Was wondering what I was doing wrong…

But it turns out even Ellie and I are not exclusive to the club either.
The Mid-Bedfordshire Tory MP has also blocked the Libdem councillor Sara Bedford for unknown reasons.
And there’s more!
Various other tweeters including @MichaelCox and @jockso and @snookcocker @bloggerheads and @BristolRed have all reported being blocked by Nadine Dorries MP.
This is getting out of hand!
Of course, we can simply go to her Twitter page and read the hilarious things she posts, but it’s not the same is it?
I thought Tories weren’t into banning and censorship? I haven’t blocked anyone and I even have BNP sympathisers following me.
Or perhaps Tories are sensitive souls. Who knows?

Mind you, I haven’t been blocked by her, so I’m not feelin’ your pain. I guess largely because I find ignoring to be a healthier policy. After all, ignoring someone isn’t a weapon of mass destruction.
Nope, she hasn’t blocked me yet *despite* RTing a few things about her daughter’s employment. Maybe she has a soft spot for Trots.

No, it’s just her.
She blocked me (one of her constituents) on her blog many months ago, before she blocked all comment on that site. I deduce from the fact that she seems to have appeared in virtually every radio and television programme that I’ve switched on today, that she doesn’t have time to listen to anyone else’s opinions.
Well, I’ve RT’d this, so maybe I’ll get blocked soon.

Really? What on earth gave you that idea?
I can’t get excited by it. To me it’s just a fad that dumbs down discourse by forcing people to express themselves in the most banal manner possible. And Twitter’s not much better either.
Can you please please sort out the incessant retweet comments?
It makes it very hard to follow the comments.

Some blogs separate blog and twitter mentions from real comments. Don’t know how easy it is to do that though.

On a related note I notice that someone has trawled through the comments on the Dorries libel thread to remove all criticism of Guido or Blaney.
Are they really that sensitive, the poor lambs?
