Guido benefits from Dorries-McBride case

A couple of months ago I asked who was actually acting on behalf of Nadine Dorries MP when the “writ” was served on Damian McBride.

Was it their friend Donal Blaney? It turns out today it was.

Paul Waugh reports that, “the costs (agreed to by Mr McBride) are in the region of £2,500, so the grand total will be £3,500.”

Paul Waugh also says:

It also seems that no writs, as such, have been served.

Although, at the time, Guido Fawkes himself claimed he had served a writ and then quickly withdrew the claim.

Paul Waugh also adds that some of Mr McBride’s money will end up in Guido’s pocket.

As part of the £2,500 costs, it seems that Paul Staines (the man behind the beard) charged Ms Dorries’ lawyer Donal Blaney £75/hour for serving the legal letter on the former Number 10 man.

£75/hour is a rather tidy sum. Although it seems to contradict Guido’s own claim, when referring to damages awarded to Tom Watson MP, that: “Guido, alas, did Smeargate for pleasure…

Perhaps what Staines meant was that he released the initial emails for pleasure but then wanted to get paid when doing some work on behalf of Tory MP Nadine Dorries.

In April Paul Staines published this cartoon referring to Nadine Dorries.

Please don’t make me go through this again…

You missed the big story here Sunny and I apologise in advance for using capitals but feel it justified –

Ha, ha.

I’m just reporting what Paul Waugh said Tim J.

3 – I know Sunny. I’d have put in a smiley if I had any idea how to!

I wanted to charge for a full fry up as well, but apparently breakfast on Damian was not an allowable expense.

In truth I did it because as Conan the Barbarian pointed out, the important thing in life is to “crush your enemies, see them driven before you”. Also for a bit of fun on behalf of Nadine to wind up the likes of you lot, she is some cougar who tips you lot over the edge of reason.

Donal subsequently pointed out that I was properly entitled to be paid as a process server. It is undeniably even more pleasing to rub Damian’s nose in it a little bit more.

I won’t bother cutting and pasting all the nonsense you and your readers posted about it not being for real, having no legal basis and that it was just a stunt etc. Damian obviously took wiser counsel than a bunch of leftie webmongs. I am sure someone will go to the trouble of providing edited highlights of the dumbwittery that was expressed on here.

It ain’t over yet either…

Seventy five quid? That’ll buy a hell of a lot of Thunderbird. Leave the car at home tonight, eh Guido?

He’s right though, isn’t he? Whenever I picture Guido Fawkes, I always think of Conan the Barbarian…

2 hours actually, lets not forget ToryBear also gets something towards paying off his student loan as well.

Anyone seen Jimmy? Hello? Hello?

You drunk already?

Not yet. Will toast McPoison later. Another small victory for the forces of truth and light…
