Barack Obama – President Elect!
CNN and MSNBC have both called the election.
Congratulations, and thank you America!

Thank you Sarah Palin.
Unity,
Thank fuck. I could explain it better in a thousand words, but two are all I need.
Inspirational, truly. 4 years ago – even 1 year ago – the thought of this one-senate-term, raised by his grandmother, born into poverty, Muslim-sounding name, IDEALIST, liberal (and let’s not forget black) guy making President would have provoked derision and disbelief.
How far things have come.
I’m inspired, hopeful, excited, and, though I’m also from the UK, I feel that, somehow, this is a gift that affects me, too.
There are stories to tell my kids that demonstrate mankind’s ability to unite behind sadness and tragedy – Challenger; 9/11 – but nothing, NOTHING, will touch the moment that the US collectively turned out and said “No more” as they decided to risk it all on ideology and aspirations.
So good to see the US remember the promises it was founded upon, and simply amazing to see the world rise up in jubilation behind it.
