The 2008 Presidential Election

Next Tuesday millions of Americans will go to the polls to decide the forty-forth President of the United States.

Here at Liberal Conspiracy we understand the importance of these elections to America and the rest of the world.

So on Tuesday night, and going forward into the early hours of Wednesday, we’ll be Live Blogging the results as they come in.

Our bloggers, including Sunny who is on the ground with the Obama campaign, will also be discussing the hottest breaking stories and providing our own take on events.

We hope you’ll join us in what we hope will be a great night for progressive politics.

I’ve already got my pro-plus and cosy jumpers ready for the all-nighter :)

Sorry, what’s this election thing?

I’m going to follow it on Melanie Phillips’s blog.

I suppose it may be fun. Do you slow down for car accidents by any chance?

Hmmm party with David Lammy and other high profile politicos or sit in front of a PC live blogging….what a choice I have! :D

Well we’ll have Pringles.*

*of course we have no way of you actually getting any…

Heh, if there are any PCs available I will drop by.

I’m in.

As long as I don’t nod off in my armchair (what with me being an ‘older’ feminist – cheers Unity) I should be around.

Oh man, I’m going to be up at 6am that day! results start coming in and become interesting when the first big swing state, Virginia, closes at 7pm eastern. Or maybe its North Carolina. anyway, by about 5pm our time it should get interesting..

from about 8pm I’ll be going to a big party in LA where there’s gonna be gazillions of Obama supporters and massive TV screens.

So… sorry for leaving my fellow LC’ers out but I doubt I’ll be able to live-blog that night….

Steal something interesting.

Tue day and Wed am bulletins would be cool.

You should do a poll on the night.

I know that Americans don’t like to be told who to vote for, but they also don’t like to be told that they don’t like other people saying who they’d vote for (if that makes any sense at all).

Ben
