DAILY BLOG REVIEW / by Aaron Heath
The Spectator – Following Palin was always going to be tough, but even the Tory-press is giving McCain a lukewarm response.
Anthony Painter – However, after a slow start, Anthony was quite impressed with McCain.
Maureen Dowd/NYT – From earlier in the week: Spinning a narrative around the Palin nomination, in the waspish style made famous by Dowd.
Earthpal – Getting to know Sarah Palin is not always heartening.
Popular Front for the Liberation of Discordia – As the media bandwagon moves on to the Presidential Debates, why not raid the liquor cabinet and play the Official 2008 Debate drinking game? When listening to Republicans lionise Ronald Reagan, I for one, always need a stiff drink.
Chris Huhne/LDV – Just because the Tories are expected to win big at the next general election, doesn’t mean that the Lib Dems can’t still increase their share of the vote and put more Liberal MP’s in Westminster. Labour beware!
The enemies of reason – Anton has some fun with the comments on a Daily Fail story about rainy Britain. Very funny. (NSFW)

Funny, I am not seeing much discussion on this here: http://www.samizdata.net/blog/archives/2008/09/no_eu_surrender.html
Shouldn’t a liberal blog be rather concerned when the EU clearly intends to start controlling internet speech – especially blogging? Especially considering the EU is now powerful enough to prevent that precious windfall tax some of you are so fond of from being introduced? You want them to be in charge of what you are allowed to say?
Nick,
Maybe I’m a little preoccupied this week, but I genuinely missed the story.
Do you want to write a post about it, and get debate underway?
Aaron
I would be delighted to but it depends on me getting a decent block of time to do in. Feel free to email on nick at backlash-uk dot org dot uk so I know where to send it to.
Thanks Nick,
If you do get time, send it to tips[at]liberalconspiracy[dot]org
That way me or Sunny will pick it up.
