The Dems ought to careful in pushing that ethics case. The nature of the accusations are only likely to endear her further with female voters (IMO).

Sorry but that’s a family matter, and not something progressives should be gaining political capital from.

Aye, it’s a pretty huge non starter when it comes to things…if it’s pressed then she’ll just talk about how mothers need to support their children through their mistakes, and to care for life rather than abandon it, etc, etc, usual “pro-life” droning… It’s not like there’s a clear win on that issue, why bother even raising it?

A cover-up is a cover-up, whether on the left or the right or anywhere else. She shouldn’t get an easier ride just because she’s a woman.

I agree. I recently posted an article about when a poltician is entitled to privacy regarding their family. If Palin lied, then I don’t think she is entitled to privacy in this case.

Cover-up?

Are we discussing issues of legality or whether or not Americans will hold it against her? I think they’ll show some compassion considering the circumstances.

The real threat is that progressives appear to lack compassion. The war is in the centre – who are much more likely to vote on issues closer to the heart.

I love the idea that this is a “cover-up” worth pursuing. God forbid a mother hide her daughter’s “shame” (in a right wing way) and lie about the situation…tantamount to fake dossiers and assassination plots I say!

The real attack on Pallin is the “bridge to no-where”.

She actually campaigned for office on a pro-bridge platform, yet on her Veep acceptance speech, claimed to have opposed it (to forward her reform image).

I see that being a valuable attack-ad.

I think Debi has said it better than I could with regard to the ethics of talking about Bristol…

Is she pregnant again, or are these crossed stories?
