Penny Red has a fantastic post on the objectification of women dehumanising us all. I’d caution that even those of us who refuse to “pluck, shave, starve, bleach, shop, polish, powder and wax” still get stared at, and occasionally groped. though. Refusing to engage in expected behaviour is not an automatic protectant against unwanted attention…

Irony Alert: Amused Cynicism has designed a satirical Beijing Olympics T-shirt, only to have the design vetoed by the people he chose to print it, who are based in the Land of The Free.

You’ll all be glad to hear that Joe Otten still aten’t dead. I certainly am, since he was the first person to add me on facebook specifically because he was a fanboy of my blog (more have followed, but you never forget your first fanboy

And finally, there’s still one night of the weekend left, so if you’re planning on going out, you might find this handy guide to what the words on club flyers really mean useful. I LOLed.

Does anyone know what’s happened to Liam Murray’s think tank roundup this weekend?
Liam is off this week.
I wondered what that smell was! (joke (c) 1482)
Just a comment on the T Shirt :
Such is the iconic nature of the ‘tank man’ image that it is no surprise that people have had similar ideas when it comes to designing an Olympics T shirt.
My own very similar Olympics design has been on my site for a year.
I first created it in August 2007 but after a few requests, uploaded the wallpapers and print sizes a little while after that.

For anyone who wants to download it and print their own (at a high street shop) here is the link :

The largest size is 3000px wide, plenty big for a good resolution on a shirt.
I’ve never tried to have it printed commercially, knowing the copyright rules online clothing retailers impose.
You’ll see that, having been asked permission to use it several times, I posted in my own comments
“Anyone can use it providing there is no financial gain involved.”
The image has been shown on several sites around the world and should also be on the front page of a French newspaper in the next week or so.
The tories are going to see a comeback soon. I predoct with the current leaderof the party we will overtake the tories by february. Lbaour are up to 29% this is depiste a terrible few weeks.
Looks like you made the front page, Beau Bo. I’ll link you back to AC too, if nobody’s done it already…

I’m probably over using the olympics ring motif a bit now though…
