From the article you link: "An article that appeared in my name, published in the Guardian yesterday, does not reflect my position or opinions regarding solutions to the Zimbabwean crisis. Although the Guardian was given assurances from credible sources that I had approved the article this was not the case" Shouldn’t the first headline be:

I'm sure if you look at Shan from a different perspective than your own she's not the perfect candidate. This is my point, no-one is perfect to everyone. Shan looks good on paper but...I mean, I dunno...the green party are against GM food and you know...on this single issue election even issues like their policy on food mean that I'm aggrieved to lend her my voice.
