Oh noes! I got Ken as my first choice. That can't be right!

Re Comment 12,

Do people vote for the person who's best for them, or the person who they think is best for London overall? I'll be doing the latter.

Fascinating stuff - do any of these admissions constitute an endorsement?

I don't think that knowing whether you agree with any particular candidate on the election agenda provides enough of a picture to make a good decision, so I'm not exactly sure what the value of that knowledge is.

As soon as all the ballot boxes have been emptied you can be sure that excuses and reasons will be found in abundance for the eventual winner to shift positions and expeditiously renege on their most uncomfortable promises.

Who you vote for is as much an issue of trust in the candidates personal integrity and political intelligence as it is an issue of whether they affirm the voter's self-image.

I was Ken- followed by Paddick, followed by Lindsey German and then Sian Berry and then very worryingly the Christian candidate! Given that I was probably going to vote for Ken and after that my preferences would be Paddick, Berry, Johnson, that sounds about right!

I got Lindsey German then Paddick then Boris.

I won't vote for Lindsey German which leaves me with a result I pretty much anticipated.

UKIP was my third choice - this concerns me!

"a shared lack of opinion doesn’t seem like something to base a vote on"

Oh, I don't know. Knowing that a politician doesn't give a stuff about something you don't give a stuff about is quite reassuring, at least they won't waste their time and your money on it.

Brian and Sian neck and neck. Which was, haha, my original intention.

So it's still looking like Brian first, wasted vote second, unless Boris, you know, speaks at all over the next month (not as likely as you might think; word is he's still being muzzled and he didn't turn up to a debate on Heathrow expansion in the Commons this week) in which case I'll just have to vote for Ken to shut him the f*** up.

Interestingly, about four of the occasions when my and Sian's answers were identical were when she said "neither" and so did I, and a shared lack of opinion doesn't seem like something to base a vote on. I wonder if they factored things like that in?

Lindsey German followed by Ken, then Sian. Probably not that accurate considering I don't live in London and couldn't care less about some of the questions, although if I had a vote my choice probably would be either the Left List or Greens first then Ken.
