		<description>On the names issue: surely Hillary doesn&#039;t want to draw attention to her surname, to distinguish herself from Bill, and Rudy&#039;s surname is not especially easy to pronounce for many in the USA...

More generally there is something about the degree of formality (or the lack of it) of which name you choose to use. In France for the 2007 elections it was Ségo vs. Sarko, firstname vs. lastname. How about Royal vs. Nicolas - strikes a very different note.</description>
